Overview
The DC Department of Employment Services (DOES) engaged Bayne LLC to conduct professional development for three of its divisions.
Bureau of Innovation and Partnerships
- Planned, coordinated logistics for, and facilitated a half-day training for 8 managers and a full-day training for 32 staff at an off-site location.
- Developed a program focused on performance culture, accountability, leadership, wellness, and coaching.
- Conducted a survey at the end of the training to assess its effectiveness.
Division of State Initiatives
- Planned, coordinated logistics for, and facilitated a one-day in-person all-staff training for 60 participants at an off-site location.
- Educated participants on identifying and adapting leadership styles to improve effectiveness.
- Educated participants on the performance-based benefits of physical activity and self-care, and how to use the body to regulate emotions.
- Educated participants on how to use a living systems perspective to improve the customer service process for project empowerment.
Workforce and Federal Programs Bureau
- Planned, coordinated logistics, and provided a facilitated a one-day in-person all staff training on positive peer coaching and cultivating a coaching mindset for 80 participants.
- Facilitated an interactive session introducing the concepts and fundamentals of positive peer coaching, as well as coaching in one-on-one and group settings.
- Facilitated an interactive session covering active listening, emotional awareness, powerful questioning, and a growth mindset – all key components of positive peer coaching.
