The DC Department of Employment Services (DOES) engaged Bayne LLC to provide a two-day leadership development retreat for the Division of State Initiatives (DSI) staff, operations, and management personnel. The retreat focused on improving upon divisional process flow and the development of office outcomes and strategies to strengthen operational processes through personality assessment training.
Training
- Planned, coordinated logistics, and facilitated two-day in-person retreat for 40 staff at an off-site location
- Introduced the Four Personality Types used in the DISC personality assessment, allowing participants to learn about their own personality types and those of DSI colleagues
- Facilitated participants’ increased self-awareness through exploring techniques for reducing stress and improving metal, emotional and physical health
- Educated participants on recognizing the unique talents of each DISC style and being mindful of possible limitations
- Educated participants on exploring their natural biases and gaining an appreciation for opposing perspectives and approaches
- Introduced participants to best practices and leadership strategies, as well as effective techniques for communicating and collaborating with opposing personality styles
