To evaluate the hiring and recruitment practices, and workplace climate in District government agencies in relation to people who self-identify as transgender or non-binary. Bayne LLC (Bayne) has been contracted to conduct a study which will result in a report of the findings to DCHR.
PROJECT SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES
In the report, the project team will at a minimum, address the following research questions:
- Is there a significant difference between the hiring, promotion and retention rates for employees who self-identify as transgender or non-binary and the rates for the total District government workforce?
- How efficient is the District government at meeting the support and training needs for employees who self-identify as transgender or non-binary?
- How can the District government better support employees who self-identify as transgender or non-binary?
- How can the District government improve its efforts to recruit potential employees who self-identify as transgender or non-binary?
For this endeavor, Bayne will complete this assessment via surveys, focus groups and stakeholder interviews.
